MINUTES OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

Present: Sharlene McCormick, Chi Whitehead, Kim Semmens, Nik Massey, Greg Campbell.

In Attendance: Anna O’Malley taking the minutes.

Chi Whitehead welcomed everyone to the meeting with a karakia.

2025:

• Kim spoke about the Sports Uniforms Grant. They provide kapa haka uniforms and sports equipment also. Board discussed numbers and sizes. Input needed from Whaea Ripeka and Whaea Mina. Kim, Michelle to head.
• Music Room: Needs to be completed by June 2025. Builder coming to view tomorrow. 3 x quotes. Greg to head.
• Sensory Garden: Concept created. Kim to apply to Bunnings. Chi to email Te Uri o Hau. Nik, Chi, Kathy to head.
• Suggestion of starting a patrons list of people that help at the school - gift pack for Xmas. Geva will send to staff.

General:

• Events need a plan, run sheet, processes checklist etc.  Anna to consolidate.
• ERO happening as per 2025 schedule.
• Parent Survey to be looked at in 2025.
• Board agrees for the school tol hold Teacher Only Days / Maths Curriculum PD days on January 30th and 31st, 2025. This is to accommodate the needs of our school parents, who find it difficult when we run TODs during term time.
